The Sheepskin pilot jacket became popular in the Second World War, when they kept pilots toasty and warm in unpressurised cabins at high altitudes. Because the sheep’s wool creates insulating spaces, body heat is retained, so that you stay cosy whatever the weather’s doing. Properly cared for, these coats also last a long time.

  • Heavy duty metal zip
  • Adjustable buckle fasten side tabs on waistband

Product Description

Our double-breasted sheepskin pilot jacket in black is made from 100% soft and flexible sheepskin, just as the very first pilots’ jackets were, even if they’re no longer worn when flying a Spitfire! And because the wool pile is quite thick, you’ll stay very comfortable whatever you’re doing and whatever the conditions.

The zip is fashioned from heavy duty metal, and there are two external pockets on the front as well as an internal one. The collar has a strap which is buckle fastened, and can be worn up or down, while side tabs on the waistband are also fastened with a buckle.

There’s also a crossover zip for extra warmth.
